Your Alibaba Cloud account can be suspended due to a security event involving your credentials or RAM users. Identify which situation applies to you, then follow the steps below to restore access.
Reasons for account suspension
AccessKey leak
An AccessKey — consisting of an AccessKey ID and an AccessKey secret — is the credential used to access Alibaba Cloud services. If an AccessKey is leaked, your cloud resources are exposed to unauthorized access, data breaches, and malicious operations. In severe cases, Alibaba Cloud suspends both the account and all its RAM users.
Compromised RAM user
If a RAM user is compromised, it can trigger resource abuse, data breaches, or violations of Alibaba Cloud's Terms of Service or applicable laws. This puts the entire account at risk and can result in the suspension of your Alibaba Cloud account and all its RAM users.
Restore your account
If a RAM account is suspended, contact the administrator of the Alibaba Cloud account to submit a ticket for assistance.
To restore a suspended Alibaba Cloud account:
Contact SAE staff through the DingTalk group 32874633 to request account restoration.
After the account is restored, you can create a new AccessKey or reset the account password.
