Resource Orchestration Service:How to diagnose the cause of a stack creation failure?

This topic describes how to diagnose the cause of a stack creation failure in Resource Orchestration Service (ROS).

Method 1: ROS quick diagnostics

  1. Log on to the ROS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Stacks.

  3. On the Stacks page, find the stack that you want to manage and click the stack ID.

  4. In the upper-right corner of the stack details page, choose p686672.png > Quick Diagnostics.

    After you create a quick diagnostics task, you can view the diagnostics result on the Quick Diagnostics Records page.

    Note

    The quick diagnostics feature allows you to diagnose error messages that were reported within the previous seven days.

OpenAPI Explorer diagnostics

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, click Stacks.

  2. On the Stacks page, find the stack that you want to manage and click the stack ID.

  3. On the Stack Information tab, move the pointer over the value of the Status Description parameter and click the copy icon to copy the value that contains the request ID.

  4. Go to the OpenAPI problem diagnosis page. On this page, enter the copied value in the field.

  5. Click diagnosis to diagnose the cause of the failure.
