A mobile phone number is used to verify the identity of a member and receive important change notifications. For example, a mobile phone number can be used to receive notifications about password resetting, instance or cluster release, fee changes, switching of a cloud account to resource account, and switching of a resource account to a cloud account. This topic describes how to bind a mobile phone number to a member of the resource account type in a resource directory.
A RAM user or RAM role is created within the management account of your resource directory, and the AliyunResourceDirectoryFullAccess policy is attached to the RAM user or RAM role. You must use such a RAM user or RAM role to perform operations described in this topic. This ensures that the system can record the operators of management operations.
You are not allowed to bind a mobile phone number to a cloud account in the Resource Management console.
If you want to bind a mobile phone number to a cloud account, log on to the Account Center console as the root user of the cloud account.
You can refer to this topic to bind a mobile phone number to a resource account rather than to change the mobile phone number that is bound to a resource account.
If you want to change the mobile phone number that is bound to a resource account, you must switch the resource account to a cloud account and log on to the Account Center console as the root user of the cloud account.
A maximum of 100 verification codes can be sent per day.
Log on to the Resource Management console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
Click the Organization or Members tab.
Find the resource account to which you want to bind a mobile phone number and click Bind Mobile Phone Number in the Actions column.
In the Bind Mobile Phone Number dialog box, enter a mobile phone number in the Mobile phone number field, click Get verification code to obtain a verification code, and then enter the code in the Verification code field.
If you only want to receive notifications, you do not need to bind mobile phone numbers to members. You need to only configure contacts for members. For information about how to configure contacts for members, see Manage contacts for a member.
