Tag policies are inherited through your resource directory hierarchy, and the resulting rules that apply to any account, folder, or member form its effective policy. Use the Resource Management console to view the effective policy for any node in your resource directory.
How effective policies work
An effective tag policy is the final set of tag rules that apply to a specific account, folder, or member. It combines all tag policies inherited through the resource directory hierarchy with any policies directly attached to that node.
For details on how effective policies are calculated, see Inheritance of a tag policy and calculation of an effective policy.
