Resource Management:Downgrade or upgrade a tag

You can downgrade predefined tags that no longer meet your business requirements to regular tags. After the downgrade, they will not be displayed in the list of predefined tags when you add tags to resources. You can also upgrade existing regular tags to predefined tags based on your business requirements.

Downgrade a predefined tag to a regular tag

  1. Log on to the Resource Management console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Tag > Tag.

  3. In the tag list, find the tag that you want to downgrade and choose image > Downgrade to Non-predefined Tag in the Actions column.

  4. In the Downgrade to Non-predefined Tag dialog box, click Downgrade.

    After the downgrade is successful, the value of Predefined Tag for the tag becomes No.

Upgrade a regular tag to a predefined tag

  1. Log on to the Resource Management console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Tag > Tag.

  3. In the tag list, find the tag that you want to upgrade and choose image > Upgrade to Predefined Tag in the Actions column.

  4. In the Upgrade to Predefined Tag dialog box, click Upgrade.

    After the upgrade is successful, the value of Predefined Tag for the tag becomes Yes.
