Manually transfer resources between resource groups to adjust your resource allocation.
You cannot delete resources directly from a resource group. To remove a resource from a resource group, transfer the resource to another resource group, such as the default resource group.
Methods used to transfer resources across resource groups
The following methods are available for transferring resources across resource groups:

Resource Group page of the Resource Management console
You can transfer resources across resource groups on the Resource Group page of the Resource Management console.

Resource Search page of the Resource Management console
Resource Management provides the Resource Center service, which delivers a global view of resources within your Alibaba Cloud accounts and allows you to search for resources across accounts, services, or regions. You can log on to the Resource Management console and go to the Resource Search page below Resource Center to transfer resources across resource groups. For more information, see Transfer resources between resource groups.

API operations
You can use the API operation provided by a service to move a resource of the service to a different resource group. You can also use the MoveResources API operation provided by the Resource Group service to move multiple resources to a different resource group at a time. The MoveResources API operation allows you to move multiple resources that reside in different regions or belong to different services or resource groups to the same resource group at a time. For more information, see Services that work with Resource Group.
The following procedure uses the Resource Group page of the Resource Management console.
Impacts
Transferring resources across resource groups does not affect the resources themselves. The system does not restart the resource, and the network configurations and owner remain unchanged.
However, if you have an authorization policy based on a resource group, transferring a resource to another group may change RAM identity permissions. For example, if you grant operation permissions on resources in Resource Group A to members for Project A, those members can access the resources. If a resource is transferred from Resource Group A to Resource Group B, the members can no longer access that resource.
Transfer resources from a resource group
To transfer resources from a resource group:

Log on to the Resource Management console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

On the Resource Group page, find the resource group that you want to transfer resources from and click Resources in the Actions column.

Select the resources to transfer, and then click Transfer at the bottom of the list.

In the Select Resource Group panel, select the destination resource group, and then click Confirm.

Review the transfer result and click Confirm.
Transfer resources to a resource group
To transfer resources to a resource group:

Log on to the Resource Management console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

On the Resource Group page, find the resource group that you want to transfer resources to and click Resources in the Actions column.

At the top of the resource list, click Transfer In.

In the Select Resource panel, select the resources to transfer, and then click OK.

Review the transfer result and click OK.
FAQ
Q: What should I do if the error InvalidParameter.Product.Region occurs when I transfer an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket to a resource group?
This error occurs because the region where the bucket resides does not support transferring resources between resource groups.
To resolve this issue, back up the data in the bucket, delete the bucket, and then create a new bucket in a region and resource group that support resource transfers.
