Accept or reject a resource directory invitation - Resource Management

After you receive an invitation to join a resource directory, you can view the invitation details on the Resource Management console, by email, or through an internal message. Review the invitation details and evaluate the impact before you respond.

Prerequisites

Your Alibaba Cloud account is not a member of another resource directory. Each account can join only one resource directory.
Your Alibaba Cloud account has completed enterprise real-name verification, and the verification details match the management account. Otherwise, your account cannot join the resource directory.

To use a RAM user, attach a policy with the following minimum permissions:

Create a custom policy and Grant permissions to a RAM user.

Background

Review the following implications before you respond.

Your account becomes a cloud account member. The resource directory uses your Alibaba Cloud account name as the display name.
The management account gains full administrative control over your account. After joining, your account cannot leave the resource directory independently.
The management account can use an access control policy to restrict the cloud services and APIs available to members.
The management account or a delegated administrator account can manage members through trusted services, such as viewing log data in ActionTrail or deploying cloud resources in Resource Orchestration Service.
If your enterprise real-name verification matches the management account, the management account can change your member type from cloud account to resource account. Otherwise, the type cannot be changed.

Accept an invitation

Log on to the Resource Management console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resource Directory > Received Invitations.
In the Actions column, click Process Invitation.
In the Process Invitation dialog box, carefully review the invitation details, select the risk-warning checkbox, and click Accept Invitation.

After your account joins the resource directory, view the directory details on the Settings page.

Reject an invitation

Log on to the Resource Management console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resource Directory > Received Invitations.
In the Actions column, click Process Invitation.
In the Process Invitation dialog box, click Reject Invitation.
In the Reject Invitation dialog box, click Reject Invitation.
