Resource Management:Deactivate resource center

Impact

After you deactivate Resource Center:

• Resource data becomes inaccessible.

  • For a standalone Alibaba Cloud account, you can no longer view the resource data within that account.

  • For a management account of a Resource Directory or a delegated administrator account for Resource Center, deactivation also disables the cross-account resource search feature. You can no longer view resource data from the current account or any member in the Resource Directory. Additionally, members cannot view resource data in their own accounts.

• Dependent features stop working. Features that rely on Resource Center, such as the resource management module on the Console homepage and Cloud Config, can no longer access resource data.

Limitations

• You cannot deactivate Resource Center from a management account or a delegated administrator account if the cross-account resource search feature was enabled by a different account. Only the account that enabled the feature can deactivate it.

  For example, if the management account of your Resource Directory enabled the cross-account resource search feature, you cannot use a delegated administrator account to deactivate Resource Center. Only the management account can do so.

• To deactivate Resource Center, you must first disable any dependent services or features, such as Cloud Config or the ability to transfer associated resources between resource groups.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Resource Management console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resource Center > Settings.

3. In the Deactivate Resource Center section, click Deactivate.

4. In the Deactivate Resource Center dialog box, click OK.
