If a subscription cluster expires, the system sends you a renewal notification. To prevent your service from being suspended, we recommend that you renew your cluster at the earliest opportunity. This topic describes how your services are affected when a cluster expires.

Billing cycle

The billing cycle, which is based on UTC+8:00, of a subscription cluster is the subscription duration of the cluster. The billing cycle starts from the time (accurate to the second) when the subscription cluster is activated or renewed and ends at 00:00:00 the next day after the expiration date.

The system uses a voucher or deducts an amount from the account balance of your Alibaba Cloud account. A bill is also generated for you to query. For more information, see View billing details.

Impact of cluster expiration

The following table describes how your services are affected if you do not renew the subscription cluster within a specified period of time after it expires.
Period of time after a cluster expires Impact
Within 15 days after the cluster expires You cannot access the cluster, but existing jobs on the cluster can continue to run. If you want to continue to use the cluster, you must renew the cluster. For more information, see Renewal.
15 days after the cluster expires The cluster is automatically released. Data of fully managed Flink jobs is deleted and cannot be restored.
