ApsaraDB RDS:[EOS/Discontinuation] The event history feature is no longer available for an ApsaraDB RDS instance from May 31, 2023

To standardize the viewing of O&M events for ApsaraDB RDS instances, improve user experience, and make event information more transparent, Alibaba Cloud discontinued the event history feature on the Event Center page of the ApsaraDB RDS console on May 31, 2023. Historical events previously recorded by this feature are now split across two services: ActionTrail (for account-level API and console activity) and CloudMonitor (for instance management events).

Impacts

If event history was disabled for your RDS instance, your instance is not affected.

If event history was enabled for your RDS instance, the following are no longer updated or maintained after May 31, 2023:

View events in ActionTrail

ActionTrail records actions performed on your Alibaba Cloud account, including console operations and API and SDK calls.

  • Go to the ActionTrail console to browse recorded events.

  • Configure trails and query events programmatically using the ActionTrail API. For details, see API overview.

View instance management events in CloudMonitor

CloudMonitor captures instance exceptions and automatically delivered O&M events from the Alibaba Cloud management and control system.

Subscribe to system events in CloudMonitor to monitor the following event types:

  • Scheduled O&M events

  • Primary/secondary switchover events

  • Unavailability events

  • Serverless events

  • Notification events

  • Optimization events
