Last Updated:Jun 20, 2026

After you create a Global Active Database (GAD) instance group, you can view its basic information, topology, and configuration details on its details page.

Prerequisites

A Global Active Database (GAD) instance group must be created. For more information, see Create an instance group.

Procedure

Navigate to the Global Active Database page. In the instance group list, click the ID of the target instance group to open its details page.

Basic information

The basic information of an instance group includes its Instance Group ID, Name, Instance Type, Database Engine, Creation time, Status, and Region.

Topology

The topology visually represents the connections and status between primary and secondary instances, along with the basic information for each instance.

Click an instance ID to open the instance's details page in the ApsaraDB RDS console.

Configuration details

The configuration details are organized into two tabs: RDS Instances and DTS Tasks.

RDS Instances

The RDS Instances tab displays all instances in the instance group, along with their Status, Region/zone, Role, and Creation time.

  • Click an instance ID to view its details.

  • Click Add Secondary Instance in the upper-right corner to add a new secondary instance to the group. Alternatively, in the Actions column, click Remove to remove a secondary instance from the group. For more information, see Add or remove a secondary instance.

DTS Tasks

The DTS Tasks tab displays all DTS synchronization tasks within the instance group, along with their synchronization direction, Region, Status, Synchronization Latency, and Creation time.

  • Click View Details for a synchronization task to view its details.

  • When you remove a secondary instance from the group, the associated DTS synchronization task is automatically released.
