ApsaraDB RDS:View the information about a GAD instance group

You can view the basic information, topology, and configurations of a GAD instance group on its details page.

Prerequisites

A GAD instance group is created. For more information, see Create a GAD instance group.

Procedure

Log on to the RDS console and access the Global Active Instances page. In the instance group list, click the ID of the instance group you want to view. On the instance group details page, view its basic information, topology, and configurations of the instance group.

View the basic information of an instance group

In the Basic Information section of the instance group details page, you can view the following information about the instance group: ID, name, type, database type, creation time, running status, and region.

View the topology of an instance group

In the Global Active Instance Group section of the details page, the topology of the instance group is displayed using interconnected geometric shapes to visually show the status and basic information of the primary and secondary instances and the data synchronization link between the two instances.

To view the details of the primary or secondary instance in the instance group, you can click the ID of the instance.

View the configurations of an instance group

The configurations of an instance group is displayed in the List of RDS instances and DTS instance List sections.

List of RDS instances

This section shows the basic information about the primary and secondary instances in the instance group, including their running status, region, zone, role, and creation time. You can view and manage the instances in this section.

  • You can click the ID of an instance to view the instance details.

  • You can click Add Secondary Instance in the upper-right corner of this section to add a secondary instance to the instance group, or click Remove in the Actions column corresponding to a secondary instance to remove it from the instance group. For more information, see Add or remove a secondary instance.

DTS instance List

This section shows the details of all DTS synchronization tasks of the instance group, including their synchronization direction, region, running status, latency, and creation time. You can view and manage the synchronization tasks between the primary and secondary instances in this section.

  • You can click Details of a synchronization task to view its detailed information.

  • When you remove the secondary instance from an instance group, the DTS data synchronization task associated with the secondary instance is automatically released. You do not need to manually release the task.
