The instance group details page shows the basic information, topology, and configurations of a Global Active Database (GAD) instance group — including the running status of primary and secondary instances and their Data Transmission Service (DTS) synchronization tasks.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A GAD instance group. To create one, see Create a GAD instance group
View instance group details
Log in to the RDS console and go to the Global Active Instances page. In the instance group list, click the ID of the instance group.
View basic information
The Basic Information section displays the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | The unique identifier of the instance group |
| Name | The display name of the instance group |
| Type | The instance group type |
| Database type | The database engine |
| Creation time | The time when the instance group was created |
| Running status | The current operational state of the instance group |
| Region | The region where the instance group is deployed |

View the topology
The Global Active Instance Group section displays the topology as interconnected geometric shapes. The topology shows the primary and secondary instances, their running status, and the data synchronization link between them.

To view the details of the primary or secondary instance, click its ID in the topology diagram.
View configurations
The List of RDS instances and DTS instance List sections show the configuration details of the instance group.
List of RDS instances
This section lists the primary and secondary instances with their running status, region, zone, role, and creation time.

From this section:
Click an instance ID to view the instance details.
Click Add Secondary Instance in the upper-right corner to add a secondary instance to the group.
Click Remove in the Actions column of a secondary instance to remove it from the group.
For more information, see Add or remove a secondary instance.
DTS instance List
The DTS instance List section shows all DTS synchronization tasks for the instance group. Each task entry includes the synchronization direction, region, running status, latency, and creation time.

From this section:
Click Details next to a synchronization task to view its full information.
When you remove a secondary instance from the group, the associated DTS synchronization task is automatically released. No manual release is required.
