Limitations

• You can attach a maximum of 20 tags to each instance. Each tag key must be unique per instance. If you add a tag with a key that already exists, the new tag value overwrites the previous one.

• You can attach tags to up to 50 instances in a single batch operation.

• Tags are isolated by region.

• A tag is automatically deleted once detached from all its instances.

Add a tag to a single instance

1. Log on to the ApsaraDB RDS console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your RDS instance resides.

2. Find the target instance and click the icon in the Tags column. In the dialog box, click Attach. If the instance already has tags, you can click Edit to modify them.

3. On the Edit Tags page, enter a Tag Key and a Tag Value, and then click OK.

Add tags to multiple instances

1. Log on to the ApsaraDB RDS console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your RDS instance resides.

2. Select the instances to tag, and then click Edit Tag at the bottom of the page.

   Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the button.

3. On the Edit Tags page, enter a Tag Key and a Tag Value, and then click OK.
