If the required zone does not have sufficient resources, you can use one of the following methods to purchase an RDS instance:
Select another zone in the same region and purchase an RDS instance. Then, migrate the RDS instance to the required zone after the required zone provides sufficient resources. RDS instances in different zones in the same region can communicate with each other over an internal network. This does not interrupt your workloads. We recommend that you use this method. If your business needs are not urgent, wait for a period of time until the required zone can provide sufficient resources. Then, purchase an RDS instance in the required zone. However, the time when the required zone can provide sufficient resources varies based on the supply chain.
If all zones in the same region do not have sufficient resources, purchase an RDS instance in the region closest to your server. After the required zone can provide sufficient resources, migrate the RDS instance to the required zone. For more information, see the following topics:
