Quota Center improved the quota alerting feature at 00:00:00 on January 1, 2025. You can create quota alerts for Alibaba Cloud services in a more convenient way. If the quota usage of a quota item reaches the specified threshold, Quota Center sends alert notifications to you. Then, you can submit an application to increase the relevant quota value at the earliest opportunity.
Upgrade notes
The following table describes the main items that are involved in the upgrade of the quota alerting feature.

Impacts
After the quota alerting feature is optimized, you cannot create alert rules of the old version. We recommend that you migrate alert rules to the new version for better experience.
Migration plan: You can create alert rules of the new version and delete alert rules of the old version. For more information, see Create an alert rule for a quota item and Delete an alert rule created for a quota item.
The first time you use the quota alerting feature of the new version, you must synchronize the usage data. Wait until the data is synchronized, which takes about 20 minutes. After the synchronization, the system saves current and future usage changes, but cannot save the data before the synchronization.
The quota alerts of the new version are integrated with the alerting capabilities of CloudMonitor. Therefore, you must call CloudMonitor API operations to create, modify, delete, or query a quota alert rule of the new version. The following table describes the mappings between the Quota Center API operations (old version) and the CloudMonitor API operations (new version), and the related operations that you can perform based on quota alert rules.
