Quota Center is a centralized service for managing Alibaba Cloud service quotas. You can query quota limits, request increases, and set up alerts.

quota |
The maximum number of cloud resources or operations allowed for an Alibaba Cloud account. Quotas can be account-level or region-level depending on the cloud service. You can view actual quotas in the Quota Center console. |

adjustable quota |
A quota that can be increased by submitting an application in the Quota Center console or a ticket. While an application is in the Pending Approval state, you cannot submit new applications. |

global quota |
A quota scoped to an Alibaba Cloud account. |

base quota |

total quota |
The maximum guaranteed resources for an ECS instance, combining base quota, reserved quota, and other quotas. A total quota is always greater than or equal to the base quota. Total quotas are adjusted alongside base quotas before the tenth of each month to match your daily resource usage. You cannot purchase new instances when your vCPU or instance count reaches the total quota. To get more ECS instances, apply to increase the total quota. After the increase, the system maintains the total quota at or above the specified value for at least 30 days during automatic adjustments. Note

general quota |
Resource limits for an Alibaba Cloud account. You can apply to increase general quotas based on business needs. For example, increase the maximum number of security groups for your account. |

API rate limit |
The limit on API calls an Alibaba Cloud account can make within a given period. You can apply to increase API rate limits based on business needs. For example, set the maximum QPS of the CreateECS operation to 100. |

privilege |
Access to functions, features, specifications, and maintenance status not fully available to all users. You can apply for privileges based on business needs. For example, apply to associate an Anycast EIP with an Application Load Balancer (ALB) instance. |
