Quick BI:Q Insights Configuration

Before you can use the Q Interpretation feature on a dashboard, you must enable and configure it. This topic describes how to configure Q Interpretation.

Important
  • Q Interpretation for dashboards is a value-added module. To use this feature, you must subscribe to Q Query. A limited-time free trial is currently available.

  • This feature is currently available only in the China (Hong Kong) and Malaysia regions. It will be gradually rolled out to other regions.

Limits

Overview

To configure Q Interpretation, follow these steps.

  1. Enable Q Interpretation

    After this feature is enabled, users can use Q Interpretation.

  2. Model service configuration

    You can configure model services, such as built-in and custom models. After the configuration is complete, users can select a model to use for Q Interpretation.

  3. Preset prompt configuration

    Preset prompts are default templates for Q Interpretation on dashboards. You can configure them as needed.

Enable Q Interpretation

Global Q Interpretation

Organization administrators can enable Q Insights on the Q Query > Global Configuration page, as shown in the following figure.

In embedded scenarios, you can display the session history by turning on the Display session history in embedded Q Insights scenarios button.

Dashboard-level Q Interpretation

You can enable or disable Q Interpretation for one or more dashboards.

  • On the dashboard edit page, you can enable or disable Q Interpretation as shown in the following figure.

  • On the dashboard management page, click the image icon on the right side of the target dashboard to enable or disable Q Interpretation.

  • On the dashboard management page, you can enable or disable Q Interpretation for multiple dashboards in a batch operation, as shown in the following figure.

Model service configuration

Organization administrators can configure models on the Q Query > General Configuration > Model Configuration page. You can then select these models for Q Interpretation. For more information, see Model Configuration.

Preset prompt configuration

  1. Select the dashboard for which you want to configure Q Interpretation. Click the dashboard name or the image icon in the Actions column to open the edit page.

  2. On the dashboard edit page, navigate to the Q Interpretation Configuration interface, as shown in the following figure.image

  3. On the Q Interpretation Configuration page, configure the Preset Prompt.image

    Note

    The preset prompt serves as the default template for Q Interpretation on the dashboard.
