Move a PolarDB-X 1.0 instance to a different zone when the current zone has insufficient quota for scaling or was incorrectly selected during setup.
The zone switch takes 1–2 minutes. At the moment of the switch, a transient disconnection lasting a few seconds may occur. Make sure your application supports automatic reconnection, and perform the switch during off-peak hours.
Switch the zone
Log on to the PolarDB for Xscale console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance is located.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.
Find the instance and click its instance ID to go to the Basic Information page.
In the Common Actions section, click Switch Zone.
In the dialog box, select a zone from the drop-down list. If you need to change the vSwitch, select Whether to change Vswitch. Click OK.
