PolarDB:Release an instance

Prerequisites

• Before you release an instance, make sure that all databases on the instance are deleted.

  Warning

  After a PolarDB-X instance is released, its Cross-region backup data is retained for the specified retention period. If a new instance meets the prerequisites for Restore data across regions, you can restore the data as needed. If no cross-region backups exist, all data on the instance is cleared. Proceed with caution.

• Only pay-as-you-go instances can be released.

Procedure

1. Log on to the PolarDB-X console.

2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance is deployed.

3. On the Instances page, click the PolarDB-X 2.0 tab.

4. Find the target instance. In the Actions column, click the icon, and then click Release.

   Warning

   The instance cannot be recovered after it is released. Proceed with caution.

5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
