PolarDB-X offers two editions — Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition — each with primary and read-only instance options. Use this page to select the right instance family and estimate costs before you create a cluster.

| Enterprise Edition | Large-scale distributed workloads that require custom compute and data node configurations, high IOPS, and up to 6 TB storage per node |
| Standard Edition | Standard workloads with a wide range of node sizes, from entry-level to high-memory configurations |
Choose an instance family
Both editions offer two instance families: General-purpose and Dedicated.
All IOPS and maximum connections values in the tables below are per-node limits, not cluster totals.

On a PolarDB-X Enterprise Edition primary instance, you can independently customize the number and specifications of compute nodes and data nodes.
