Use this procedure to purchase and provision a PolarDB-X 1.0 (Subscription) instance through the console. The instance is available for use within 1 to 5 minutes after payment.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that you have:
A virtual private cloud (VPC) and a vSwitch created in the target region and zone. For instructions, see Create and manage a VPC
PolarDB-X 1.0 instances are available only in the Singapore (Singapore) region and the China (Hong Kong) region.
Create an instance
Go to the PolarDB-X 1.0 buy page using one of the following methods:
From the Alibaba Cloud homepage: Log on to the Alibaba Cloud homepage. Choose Products > Database > Relational Database, click PolarDB-X, and then click Buy Now on the product details page.
From the PolarDB-X console: Log on to the PolarDB-X console. In the upper-right corner, click Create Instance.
Click PolarDB-X 1.0 (Subscription).
Configure the following parameters, and then click Buy Now.
Parameter Description Region and zone The region and zone where you want to deploy the instance. Instance Type Fixed as Dedicated Instance. Network Type Fixed as VPC. Select the VPC and vSwitch you created in the prerequisites step. Instance Series The edition that matches your workload requirements. Options: Starter Edition, Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Ultimate Edition. Specification The CPU cores and memory size of the instance. Purchase Plan The subscription duration. Quantity The number of instances to purchase. On the Confirm Order page, review the order details, select I have read and agree to DRDS (Subscription) Agreement of Service, and then click Pay.
On the Purchase page, confirm the order information and payment method, and then click Purchase.
Result
The instance is created within 1 to 5 minutes. To check the status, go to the Instances page in the PolarDB-X console.
