    PolarDB:Create a PolarDB-X 1.0 instance

    This topic describes how to create a PolarDB-X 1.0 instance and the related precautions.

    Procedure

    1. You can use either of the following entrances to go to the purchase page of a PolarDB-X 1.0 instance.
      • Entrance 1
        1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud homepage.
        2. Move the pointer over Product > Database > Relational Database, and click PolarDB-X to go to the product homepage.
        3. Click Buy Now to go to the purchase page of a PolarDB-X 1.0 instance.
      • Entrance 1
        1. Log on to the PolarDB-X console.
        2. In the upper-right corner of the console page, click Create Instance to go to the purchase page of a PolarDB-X 1.0 instance.
    2. For the commodity type, select PolarDB-X 1.0 (Subscription).
    3. On the purchase page, configure the following parameters.
      Parameter Description
      Region and Zone Select a region and a zone to configure the physical location of the instance.
      Note Currently, PolarDB-X 1.0 instances are supported only in Singapore and China (Hong Kong).
      Network Type Fixed to VPC. The value cannot be changed.
      Note To configure VPC, you must prepare a VPC and a vSwitch in the corresponding region and zone. For more information, see Create and manage a VPC.
      VPC Select a VPC.
      vSwitch Select a vSwitch.
      Instance Type Fixed to Dedicated Instance.
      Instance Series You can select a series based on your business scenarios. Options: Starter Edition, Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Ultimate Edition.
      Specification Select a specification to configure the CPU cores and memory size of the instance.
      Purchase Duration Select the purchase duration of the instance.
      Quantity Select the number of instances to purchase.
    4. Click Buy Now.
    5. On the Confirm Order page, confirm the order details, select the service agreement, and then click Pay.
    6. On the Purchase page, confirm the order to be paid and the payment method, and then click Purchase.
    7. After the payment succeeds, it generally takes 1 to 5 minutes to activate the service. You can then go back to the Instances page of the console to view the newly created instance.
