PolarDB:Configure alert rules

Last Updated:Mar 28, 2026

PolarDB-X integrates with CloudMonitor to monitor computing resources, storage resources, and log resources. Use this guide to set up alert rules so CloudMonitor notifies you when metrics cross your defined thresholds.

Supported monitoring types by edition

The monitoring types available to you depend on your instance edition:

EditionAvailable monitoring types
Standard EditionStorage Resource Monitoring
Enterprise EditionCompute Monitoring, Storage Resource Monitoring, Log Monitoring
For computing resource alerts, metric scope works as follows: an instance-level configuration item represents the average value across all nodes, and a node-level configuration item represents the value for a specified node.

Set up alert rules

  1. Log in to the PolarDB-X console and click the target instance ID.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Monitoring and Alerting, then select the monitoring type for your edition:

    • Compute Monitoring (Enterprise Edition)

    • Storage Resource Monitoring (Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition)

    • Log Monitoring (Enterprise Edition)

  3. Click Set Alert Rules to open CloudMonitor.

Set Alert Rules button in the PolarDB-X console

  4. In CloudMonitor, create alert rules for the metrics you want to monitor.
