PolarDB:Manually scale up storage capacity

When your data volume exceeds the purchased storage space, you can manually scale up the capacity through the PolarDB console.

Billing behavior when storage is exceeded

If your data volume exceeds the purchased storage space, the cluster continues to run normally. Data beyond the purchased capacity is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Scale up storage capacity

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:

  • A PolarDB cluster using the subscription storage billing method

Procedure

  1. Log on to the PolarDB console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Clusters. Select the region where the cluster is located and click the cluster ID.

  2. On the Basic Information page, in the Distributed Storage section, click Manually Scale Up.

  3. On the Upgrade/Downgrade page, select the desired storage space, select the Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.

  4. On the Payment page, confirm the order and click Purchase.
