PolarDB for PostgreSQL (Distributed Edition) supports only pay-as-you-go for storage space. Fees are calculated from the actual storage capacity your data occupies and deducted from your account hourly.
Billing method
Both PSL4 and PSL5 storage classes are billed based on storage capacity.
| Billing method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Pay-as-you-go | Charged hourly based on actual storage capacity used. No upfront commitment required. |
When to use pay-as-you-go
Pay-as-you-go works best when total storage usage across all clusters in a specific region for an Alibaba Cloud account is low and your workload fluctuates frequently. Because you pay only for what you use each hour, you avoid over-provisioning costs during periods of low activity.
Pricing
Pay-as-you-go price per GB of storage space (hourly):
| Storage class | Zone configuration | The Chinese mainland | China (Hong Kong) and overseas |
|---|---|---|---|
