When you release a PolarDB for PostgreSQL cluster, PolarDB automatically and asynchronously archives it to the Cluster Recycle Bin as level-2 backups at approximately 150 MB/s. You can delete individual backup sets from the recycle bin to free up storage.
Deleting all backup sets for a cluster permanently removes the ability to restore it. Keep at least one backup set if you may need to restore the cluster.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
-
Identified which backup sets are safe to delete
-
Reviewed the Backup and restoration guide if you are unsure about backup types and restoration options
