PolarDB:Billing rules for backup storage exceeding the free quota

The backup and recovery features of PolarDB are provided free of charge. However, backup files consume storage space. This topic describes the billing rules for the storage space that is consumed by PolarDB backup files.

Free quota

PolarDB Standard Edition provides a free quota for backup storage. If your backup storage usage exceeds the free quota, PolarDB charges a fee. This fee is calculated based on the storage capacity and retention period of your backup files, which include data and logs.

Hourly fee = Total backup size × Hourly price

For example, if the total backup size is 1000 GB, the hourly fee is or USD 0.000032.

Calculation: 1,000 GB × USD 0.000032/GB/hour = USD 0.032
