Switch the compute billing method of a PolarDB cluster from subscription to pay-as-you-go. The storage billing method remains unchanged.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A PolarDB cluster in the Running state
No temporary upgrade tasks in progress or scheduled configuration change tasks on the cluster
Sufficient account balance to cover pay-as-you-go charges after the switch, to prevent the cluster from being stopped due to overdue payments
Usage notes
If your cluster uses subscription for both the compute and storage billing methods, the compute billing method cannot be switched to pay-as-you-go.
The switch does not affect cluster availability. During the switch, connections to PolarDB clusters are not interrupted and the clusters are not restarted.
Refund policy
After the switch, the remaining subscription amount is refunded to your original payment account. Refunds are based on the remaining time of your subscription.
Only the actual paid amount is refunded to the original payment channel.
Vouchers and coupons used for the original purchase are not refunded.
Procedure
Log on to the PolarDB console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Clusters.
In the upper-left corner, select the region where the cluster is deployed.
Find the target cluster, and then choose in the Actions column.

In the Switch to Pay-as-you-go dialog box, click Switch to Pay-as-you-go.
On the Switch to Pay-as-you-go page, confirm the cluster information, select the terms of service, and then click Buy Now.
NoteThe new billing method takes effect after you complete the payment.
ImportantIf the order remains unpaid or the payment fails, the order appears as an unpaid order on the Orders page. No new cluster purchases or billing method switches are allowed until you complete the payment or cancel the order.
