PolarDB:Performance of PolarDB for MySQL 5.7 (Cluster Edition)

Last Updated:Mar 28, 2026

This topic lists the peak QPS and TPS results from online transactional processing (OLTP) performance tests on PolarDB for MySQL 5.7 Cluster Edition. For the test methodology, see Performance testing method (OLTP).

Dedicated specifications

Scope: Primary node + one read-only node

Tests use sysbench with an incrementally increasing concurrency policy. The load starts at 1 concurrent thread and scales exponentially — 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 — until QPS and TPS stop increasing. At each concurrency level, the test runs until QPS and TPS reach a stable state, then continues for an additional period. The average from that stable period is recorded. The highest peak QPS and TPS across all concurrency levels are the final results.
