The following tables list the pricing for different storage classes.
The available storage classes vary by Edition. For more information about the storage classes available for a specific edition, see the buy page.
The performance of an ESSD AutoPL disk is the sum of its baseline performance, provisioned performance, and performance burst. The baseline performance is the same as that of a PL1 ESSD. The provisioned performance and performance burst are the key features of the disk. For more information, see ESSD AutoPL disks. When you purchase the disk, you can configure its provisioned performance to increase its input/output operations per second (IOPS) performance.
If your data volume exceeds the purchased storage capacity, the behavior varies by storage class:
ESSDs: These disks do not support automatic storage scaling. You must use Database Autonomy Service (DAS) to scale up the storage capacity. To prevent business interruptions due to insufficient storage, you can manually configure automatic storage scaling. For more information, see Configure automatic storage scaling for ESSD disks. After you enable automatic scaling, the storage capacity is automatically scaled up when the trigger conditions are met. An upfront payment is required for the scaled-up capacity. If your Alibaba Cloud account balance is insufficient, the scaling operation fails.
PSL4 and PSL5: The storage space automatically scales up based on your actual usage. No additional operations are required. Data that exceeds the purchased storage capacity is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
