This topic describes the billing of PAI-Lingjun AI Computing Service. You are separately charged for other required services such as Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) and Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN). For more information, see the billing documents of each service.
Purchase procedure
Submit your requirements: Submit your requirements for clusters in a form to confirm that the requested resources are available.
Place an order: Place an order by using the purchase link that Alibaba Cloud sends you.
You are charged immediately after you place an order. You are notified of fee deduction by emails, text messages, and internal messages.
After you place an order, if the inventory of Lingjun compute nodes is insufficient, a refund is directly initiated.
After you purchase a cluster, you can obtain the link to the console on the purchase success page or in the text message sent to you. Then, you can go to the console to configure the cluster.
PAI-Lingjun AI Computing Service resources do not support refund after the payment for the resources is complete.
Overdue payments
Make sure that your account balance is sufficient. This ensures that you can continue to use the service. If your account has overdue payments or the service expires, you cannot access the purchased Lingjun compute nodes by using Lingjun connection instances, and the Lingjun compute nodes cannot access resources in the relevant virtual private cloud (VPC) by using Lingjun connection instances.
If you do not renew the service after it expires or you miss a payment due date for the first time, Alibaba Cloud suspends all or part of your operation permissions on the service upon the expiration or occurrence of the overdue payments. Alibaba Cloud retains your service instances and data for 15 days from the point in time when your permissions are suspended to the same point in time on the 15th day after that. At the same time, you are still charged for part of the service that is not suspended.
If you do not renew the service within 15 days, Alibaba Cloud releases your instances and deletes all instance data. The released instances and data cannot be recovered.
Renewal policy
Renewal notification
Your service expires when the subscription duration that you purchase reaches the end. The system will notify you to renew the service seven days, three days, and one day before the service expires. If you are charged in the subscription billing mode, you can choose not to renew the service or manually renew the service.
Renewal rights and interests
After PAI-Lingjun AI Computing Service expires, you cannot use the service. However, your data is retained for 15 calendar days. If you renew the service within 15 calendar days after the service expires, Alibaba Cloud resumes PAI-Lingjun AI Computing Service for you. Otherwise, Alibaba Cloud stops PAI-Lingjun AI Computing Service 15 calendar days after the service expires. In this case, all your data of the service stored in Alibaba Cloud will be deleted and cannot be recovered.
Specification changes
Compute nodes
Scale out a cluster: If you want to scale out a Lingjun cluster, you can purchase compute nodes and add the nodes to the cluster by following the purchase procedure.
Change node specifications: Lingjun compute nodes do not support refunds.
NoteYou can increase or decrease the number of compute nodes in a Lingjun cluster based on your business requirements. However, you cannot downgrade the specifications of compute nodes. For more information, see Manage Lingjun clusters and nodes.
Lingjun connection instances
Upgrade a Lingjun connection instance: After you upgrade a Lingjun connection instance, the upgrade immediately takes effect and the billing of the Lingjun connection instance before the upgrade immediately ends. For example, if you upgrade the bandwidth of a Lingjun connection instance from 1 Gbit/s to 10 Gbit/s, you are charged based on the bandwidth of 10 Gbit/s immediately after you perform the upgrade.
Downgrade a Lingjun connection instance: When you downgrade a Lingjun connection instance, the downgrade immediately takes effect. The billing of the Lingjun connection instance before the downgrade continues and ends on the next calendar day. For example, if you downgrade the bandwidth of a Lingjun connection instance from 10 Gbit/s to 2 Gbit/s, a new bill for the bandwidth of 2 Gbit/s is generated and you are then charged for the Lingjun connection instance based on the bandwidth of 2 Gbit/s. The original bill for the bandwidth of 10 Gbit/s ends on the next calendar day. Then, you receive a refund after the payable amount is deducted. The payable amount is the fee for the bandwidth of 10 Gbit/s before the downgrade and the bandwidth of 2 Gbit/s after the downgrade. If you use the bandwidth for less than one day, the usage duration is rounded up to one day.
ImportantWe recommend that you do not frequently downgrade Lingjun connection instances because this incurs losses.
Query bills and usage

You can go to Expenses and Costs to query the monthly bills, usage, and repayment dates of Alibaba Cloud services.

Deduction order
Alibaba Cloud deducts fees to pay a pay-as-you-go bill in the following order:
Valid vouchers in your Alibaba Cloud account.
Valid stored-value cards in your Alibaba Cloud account.
The cash balance in your Alibaba Cloud account. The funds that are transferred from other accounts are deducted before the funds that are added by yourself.
In other words, if your account has a valid voucher that applies to the order, the fees are first deducted from the voucher. If your account does not have valid vouchers, the fees are deducted from the stored-value card in your account. If the stored-value card does not have stored value, the fees are deducted from the cash balance in your account.
Add funds to an account
To prevent payment failures, we recommend that you add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account in advance.
