Multimedia Analysis charges based on algorithm service points consumed. Each service call to a foundation model service or advanced model service deducts one service point. This topic describes billing rules, pricing, and cost examples.
Billable item
The billable item is algorithm service points. Service points are deducted in the following priority order:
Free quota → Resource plan → Pay-as-you-go
After exhausting your free quota and any active resource plans, billing automatically switches to pay-as-you-go.
Free quota
Each service point type includes 200 free service points. Free quota is consumed first, before any resource plan or pay-as-you-go charges apply.
The 200 free service points apply per service point type (foundation model service and advanced model service are counted separately).
Billing methods
Multimedia Analysis supports two billing methods: resource plans (subscription) and pay-as-you-go.
Resource plans
Resource plans are prepaid subscription packages. Purchase a plan upfront based on your estimated usage. The plan takes effect immediately upon purchase and remains valid for one year. Consumed service points are deducted from the plan first. Any unused quota expires at the end of the validity period.
If you hold multiple plans of the same service point type, the plan expiring soonest is used first. Plans with the same expiration date are selected randomly.

Subscription vs. pay-as-you-go savings
Resource plans offer flat-rate discounts and are valid for one year. Pay-as-you-go uses monthly tiered pricing. For example, consuming 20,000,000 foundation model service points in a month costs USD 12,734 with pay-as-you-go, but only USD 10,000 with a resource plan.
Pay-as-you-go
Pay-as-you-go is the default billing method after you activate Multimedia Analysis. You are billed for the actual number of service points consumed, with no upper usage limit. Pricing uses a monthly tiered model — when your usage reaches a new tier, the lower unit price applies to usage within that tier. Bills are generated on the first day of the following calendar month.
The actual price is subject to the amount shown on your bill.
