PAI ArtLab is billed based on your usage of computing power, storage, and traffic. It supports two billing methods: pay-as-you-go and resource plans.

PAI ArtLab billable items include computing power, storage, and traffic. The following sections provide the billing details.

You can purchase a discounted resource plan (also known as a savings plan) in advance. When your bill is settled, usage is deducted from your resource plan first. The savings plan applies to the EAS public resource group and is not limited by region or instance type.

The billing rules for different tool editions are as follows:

Shared Edition tools: You are not charged for launching a tool. You are charged only for the actual GPU time consumed during image generation. Costs are first deducted from your resource plans and coupons. Any excess usage is charged to your Alibaba Cloud account on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Exclusive Edition tools: Billing starts as soon as a tool is successfully launched. You are charged based on the price of the machine specification you select. Costs are first deducted from your resource plans and coupons. Any excess usage is charged to your Alibaba Cloud account on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Billing methods
Pay-as-you-go (postpaid)
After you activate PAI ArtLab, the pay-as-you-go billing method is used by default. You are billed for the actual resources you consume, with no upper limit on usage. PAI ArtLab usage incurs fees from the following two related cloud products:

Object Storage Service (OSS)

Storage: Stores datasets, models, and generated images.

Outbound data transfer: Covers model and dataset downloads, and model image previews.

Requests: provides 5 million write (PUT) requests and 20 million read (GET) requests free of charge each month.

Elastic Algorithm Service (EAS)

Exclusive Edition: You have exclusive access to machine resources. Billing starts when the service is launched and stops when it is terminated. The billing cycle is per hour.

Shared Edition: You are billed based on the actual duration of GPU usage.

Actual prices are subject to your bill.
Resource plan (prepaid)
A resource plan is a prepaid credit package. You can purchase a resource plan of a specific size based on your estimated workload. A resource plan is valid for one year from the date of purchase. During the validity period, billable usage is deducted from the resource plan's quota first. Any unused quota expires at the end of the validity period.
If you have purchased multiple resource plans for the same service, the one with the earliest expiration date is used first. If multiple resource plans have the same expiration date, one is selected randomly.
Resource plans are available in the following two types:

Package: If this is your first purchase, we recommend a package, which includes computing power, storage, and traffic.

Individual resource plan: You can purchase a resource plan for computing power, storage, or traffic separately.
Purchase a package
Log on to the PAI ArtLab console and click Purchase Package in the upper-right corner. PAI ArtLab provides three types of resource packages: Basic, Advanced, and Ultimate.
Each package includes the following configurations and pricing:

Basic (¥253.98): 200 CNY equivalent compute credits (valid for 12 months), 40 GB storage (valid for 6 months), and 100 GB/month traffic (valid for 1 month).

Advanced (¥2,133.00, recommended): 1,500 CNY equivalent compute credits (valid for 12 months), 500 GB storage (valid for 12 months), and 100 GB/month traffic (valid for 3 months).

Ultimate (¥14,331.00): 12,000 CNY equivalent compute credits (valid for 12 months), 1 TB storage (valid for 12 months), and 300 GB/month traffic (valid for 12 months).
After you select a package, click Buy Now to complete the purchase.
Purchase a resource plan

Log on to the PAI ArtLab console. On the PAI ArtLab page, hover over the
icon in the upper-right corner and click Resource Center. -
Click Purchase Computing Power. On the PAI Savings Plan page, view the pricing details, select a package, and then click Buy Now.
Each new user can enjoy a one-time offer for the Starter package, which provides a CNY 200 value for only CNY 59.

Click Purchase Storage, and then click Proceed To Pay.
You can purchase this plan only once during its validity period.

Click Purchase Traffic, and then click Proceed To Pay.
You can purchase and stack multiple plans of this type within the validity period.
View usage and expiration dates
Log on to the PAI ArtLab console. In the upper-right corner, hover over the icon and do one of the following:

Click Resource Center to view the used quota, total quota, and expiration dates of your free trial resource plans, purchased packages, and individual resource plans.

Click My Benefits to view your coupon usage details.
