Computing instances

DSW supports two types of computing resources: public resources and dedicated resources (general computing resources or Lingjun resources). The billing method varies depending on the resource type you choose.

Pay-as-you-go

The duration for which a DSW instance occupies public resources.

Fee = (Unit price / 60) × Service duration (minutes)

For the unit price of a specific instance type, see the pricing information on the DSW console.

Important

DSW instances are billed on a per-minute basis. Bills are generated hourly but may be delayed by 2 to 3 hours due to data aggregation and processing. Refer to the final invoice for accurate billing information.

Stop the DSW instance to pause billing.
Delete the DSW instance to permanently stop billing.

Important

You must manually stop the instance or configure a scheduled shutdown. For more information, see Manage DSW instances.

Dedicated resources (general computing or Lingjun resources)

Subscription

The number of nodes and the subscription duration.

You purchase dedicated resources on a subscription basis. You are billed based on the number and specifications of nodes and the subscription duration. For more information, see Billing of AI computing resources.

Each DSW instance comes with a default system disk. You are billed only for storage capacity that exceeds the free quota.

The capacity and usage duration of the system disk that exceeds the free quota.

If you expand the system disk beyond the free quota, you are billed for the additional capacity based on usage duration.

Fee = System disk capacity (GiB) × Unit price × Usage duration (hours)

Delete the DSW instance.

Important

Billing for the expanded capacity of a system disk continues even if the DSW instance is stopped. To stop the billing, you must back up your data and delete the DSW instance.

Cost optimization options

To reduce your DSW costs, you can take advantage of the following options for pay-as-you-go resources.

PAI savings plan

A PAI savings plan allows you to prepay for a committed amount of resource usage. This plan automatically offsets the costs of your pay-as-you-go DSW instances.

You can purchase a savings plan with a committed spending amount ranging from CNY 100 to CNY 1,000,000. After purchase, the plan automatically offsets your pay-as-you-go DSW bills.

The savings plan takes effect immediately upon purchase.

Scenario:

You create a DSW instance with the ecs.g6.13xlarge specification using public resources in the China (Shanghai) region. The instance runs for 2 minutes.

Scenario:

You purchase dedicated resources for DSW instances. You subscribe to two instances with the ecs.g6.13xlarge-52c192g specification in the China (Shanghai) region for two months. The unit price is USD 980.57/month. The actual price is displayed on the purchase page.

Fee calculation:

Total fee = 2 × 980.57 × 2 = USD 3,922.28
