Object Storage Service:What do I do if an error message indicating that the domain name is mapped to another bucket is returned when I map a domain name?

Problem description

When you map a custom domain name to a bucket in Object Storage Service (OSS), an error is returned indicating that the domain name is already mapped to another bucket in your Alibaba Cloud account.

Causes

Each custom domain name can only be mapped to one OSS bucket at a time. The domain name you specified is currently mapped to a different bucket.

Solutions

To use the domain name with a different bucket, remove the existing mapping, then create a new one.

1. Log on to the OSS console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Buckets. On the Buckets page, click the name of the bucket that currently has the domain name mapped to it.

3. Choose Bucket Settings > Domain Names.

4. On the Domain Names tab, find the domain name you want to remove, and click Manage Mapping Configurations in the Actions column.

5. In the Manage Mapping Configurations panel, click Unbind, then click OK.

6. Map the domain name to the intended bucket. For more information, see Map custom domain names.
