Cross-region OpenSearch and DTS instances are not supported.

When you configure DTS, add the required tables one by one. For optimal performance, use a dedicated DTS instance for each database because sharing one instance across multiple databases can degrade performance.
Procedure
1. In the OpenSearch Console, on the Instance Management page, find the application that you want to configure and click Configure.
2. Configure the ApsaraDB RDS data source. For instructions, see Configure an ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL data source.
When you create the application schema, select Create from Data Source. In the Select Data Source dialog box, select RDS. From the Select Database drop-down list, select the target database. In the Select Data Table transfer box, move the required tables from the left panel to the right panel, and then click Confirm.
3. After you configure the application schema and index schema, in the data source section, select DTS data subscription instance from the Data Synchronization Mode drop-down list.
The Data Synchronization Mode drop-down list provides three options: Automatic Synchronization, DTS data subscription instance, and No Automatic Synchronization. 4. In the DTS data subscription instance section, click Select to choose a DTS instance. For information about how to create a DTS instance, see Track data changes from an ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance.
5. Click Verify. The instance state changes to Verifying. Wait until the instance state is Available, then click Confirm.
If the instance state is Unavailable, check the DTS instance in the DTS Console. You can also click Exception Report for detailed errors and solutions.
In the Select DTS Instance dialog box, enter your DTS instance ID in the DTS Instance ID field, and then click Confirm.
