Object Storage Service (OSS) data centers are located in regions. Endpoints are the domain names that other services can use to access OSS. This section presents information about regions, endpoints and open ports.
Regions and OSS endpoints in the public cloud
When you use internal endpoints of OSS, you must use the internal DNS addresses of Alibaba Cloud (100.100.2.136 and 100.100.2.138). Otherwise, you may not be able to obtain valid VIPs of the internal endpoints. As a result, access to OSS fails.

If you want to access OSS from other Alibaba Cloud services in the same region as OSS, we recommend that you use internal endpoints. For example, if you want to access an OSS bucket from an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance that resides in the same region as the OSS bucket, see Access to OSS resources from an ECS instance by using an internal endpoint of OSS for more details.
The names of the regions outside the Chinese mainland that are marked with ① are slightly different from those of the regions on the OSS pricing page or buy page. However, they all represent the same regions. For example, US-West-1 and US-West indicate the US (Silicon Valley) region. For more information, visit the OSS pricing page or OSS Resource Plan buy page.
Acceleration endpoints
If transfer acceleration is enabled for a bucket, the following acceleration endpoints are available:
Global acceleration endpoint:
oss-accelerate.aliyuncs.com
. Acceleration endpoints are distributed around the world. You can use a global acceleration endpoint to accelerate data transfer for buckets in all regions.Acceleration endpoint of regions outside the Chinese mainland:
oss-accelerate-overseas.aliyuncs.com
. Acceleration endpoints are distributed across regions outside the Chinese mainland. You can use the acceleration endpoint of regions outside the Chinese mainland only when you add a CNAME record to point a mapped custom domain without ICP filing to the OSS-accelerated domain for a bucket that is located in the China (Hong Kong) region or other regions outside the Chinese mainland.
For more information, see Transfer acceleration.
Open ports
Only ports 80, 443 and 1935 are open for OSS. Other ports are unavailable.

Dual-stack endpoints are provided in some regions. A dual-stack endpoint allows an IPv4 client and an IPv6 client to access a bucket by using the same endpoint. For more information about the endpoints that support IPv6, see Use an endpoint that supports IPv6 to access OSS.
