Network Intelligence Service:Use cross-domain traffic analysis

Last Updated:Nov 14, 2025

The cross-domain traffic analysis feature displays inbound and outbound cross-domain traffic that flows between regions through a TransitRouter. The traffic data is displayed in 1-tuple (source IP), 2-tuple (source IP and destination IP), and 5-tuple (source IP, source port, protocol, destination IP, and destination port) formats to help you analyze cross-domain traffic in your services.

View cross-domain traffic

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Traffic Analytics > Inter-region Traffic.

  2. On the Inter-region Traffic page, select the source region of the cross-domain traffic that you want to view.

  3. Click the 1-tuple, 2-tuple, and 5-tuple tabs. Then, select a time range and specify search conditions to view the trend charts and traffic lists for cross-domain traffic.

You can select a time range and specify search conditions to view traffic details for a specific time, IP address, port, or protocol.

    Tuple type

    Content

    1-tuple

    • Statistics/Trend Chart: Displays the top N total cross-domain traffic and the top N cross-domain traffic that flows through a specific CEN instance in the destination region within the specified time range.

    • Traffic List: Displays the source IP address, source region, bandwidth plan ID, CEN ID, outbound traffic, and number of packets in the destination region within the specified time range.

    2-tuple

    • Statistics/Trend Chart: Displays the top N cross-domain traffic between regions and the top N cross-domain traffic that flows through a specific CEN instance in the destination region within the specified time range.

    • Traffic List: Displays the source IP, destination IP, source region, destination region, bandwidth plan ID, CEN ID, outbound traffic, and number of packets in the destination region within the specified time range.

    5-tuple

    • Statistics/Trend Chart: Displays the top N port statistics and top N protocol statistics in the destination region within the specified time range.

    • Traffic List: Displays the source IP, source port, protocol, destination IP, destination port, source region, destination region, bandwidth plan ID, CEN ID, outbound traffic, and number of packets in the destination region within the specified time range.

    Operation

    Description

    Drill Down To 2-tuple

On the 1-tuple tab, in the Traffic List area, find the target IP address and click Drill Down To 2-tuple in the Operation column. You can then view the 2-tuple traffic statistics for the specific source IP and destination IP.

    Drill Down To 5-tuple

    • On the 1-tuple tab, in the Traffic List area, find the target IP address and click Drill Down To 5-tuple in the Operation column. You can then view the 5-tuple traffic statistics for the specific source IP, destination IP, protocol, and destination port.

    • On the 2-tuple tab, in the Traffic List area, find the target IP address and click Drill Down To 5-tuple in the Operation column. You can then view the 5-tuple traffic statistics for the specific source IP, destination IP, protocol, and destination port.

    View Trend

In the Traffic List area, find the target IP address and click View Trend in the Operation column. You can then view basic information and the trends of traffic and packet counts within the specified time range.

    Select data to view

In the Traffic List area, select TOP 20, TOP 50, or TOP 100 to view the top 20, top 50, or top 100 traffic data.

FAQ

Why can't I select an existing TransitRouter in a region from the list when I try to enable cross-domain traffic analysis?

Cross-domain traffic analysis is supported only on the latest version of Enterprise Edition transit routers. If you cannot select an Enterprise Edition transit router in a region, go to the Cloud Enterprise Network console to check whether the transit router is upgraded to the latest version. For more information, see [Upgrade Announcement] Upgrade of VPC connection mode for Enterprise Edition transit routers.
