You can use monitoring and logging services to monitor the health status of your NAT gateway resources. This ensures the availability and stability of the resources. You can use monitoring services to collect monitoring data. Alibaba Cloud provides a variety of monitoring and auditing services, such as Network Intelligence Service (NIS), CloudMonitor and Cloud Config. These services can monitor resource usage and service performance in real time, generate alerts, and notify you of anomalies.
CloudMonitor
NAT Gateway works with CloudMonitor. You can use CloudMonitor free of charge to monitor metrics of Internet NAT gateways and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) NAT gateways.
Queries of real-time monitoring data
CloudMonitor can collect monitoring metrics from Internet NAT gateways and VPC NAT gateways in real time and generate time series charts in the console.

Threshold-triggered alerts
You can set threshold-triggered alert rules in the CloudMonitor console for VPC NAT gateways and Internet NAT gateways. After you create an alert rule, you can be notified in a timely manner when exceptions occur. Cloud resource configuration auditing
Cloud Config is a resource auditing service that allows you to track configuration changes of your resources and evaluate configuration compliance. Cloud Config can help you evaluate a large number of resources and maintain the continuous compliance of your cloud infrastructure.
VPC works with Cloud Config, which provides a free trial. Cloud Config supports only some Alibaba Cloud services. For more information about the NAT gateway types supported by Cloud Config, see Alibaba Cloud services and resource types supported by Cloud Config.
Cloud Config provides a list of resources that are aggregated across regions. This allows you to quickly retrieve resources and view the configuration information and track historical configuration changes. For more information, see Overview.
You can deliver the configuration change history and non-compliance events of NAT gateways to a specified Logstore in Log Service. This way, you can query and analyze log data in a unified manner. For more information, see Deliver resource data to a Log Service Logstore.
