Instance diagnosis
Internet NAT Gateway integrates with Network Intelligence Service (NIS) to provide one-click, instance-level diagnosis. This feature detects the configuration and operational status of an instance and provides intelligent recommendations to fix any detected issues. The diagnosis covers connectivity, configuration, capacity limits, and cost, and allows you to view historical diagnosis details.
CloudMonitor
NAT Gateway integrates with CloudMonitor, allowing you to monitor various metrics of Internet NAT Gateway and VPC NAT Gateway instances in real time at no cost.
Queries of real-time monitoring data
CloudMonitor collects real-time monitoring metrics from Internet NAT Gateway and VPC NAT Gateway instances and generates visual time-series charts in the console.
Threshold-triggered alerts
Use CloudMonitor to create threshold-based alert rules for Internet NAT Gateway and VPC NAT Gateway instances. By monitoring metric thresholds, you can receive prompt notifications about anomalies and resolve them quickly.
Subscribe to threshold events
When a monitored metric crosses a threshold, CloudMonitor automatically sends an initial alert notification to the designated contacts. You can subscribe to these threshold events to customize how notifications are processed:
Aggregation and noise reduction: Consolidate alerts within the subscription scope and use conditional rules to filter out noise, which helps prevent an alert storm caused by repetitive alarms.
Filtered alert notifications: After aggregation and noise reduction, CloudMonitor sends effective alerts directly to contacts. If an alert is not resolved within a specified time, CloudMonitor automatically escalates the notification to the next group of contacts.
Custom notifications: You can define notification channel levels and templates. You can also push all alert data directly to Message Service (MNS), Log Service (SLS), Function Compute (FC), and webhooks through integrations.
Alibaba Cloud resource healthiness updates
Check Alibaba Cloud Status. This service lets you get real-time information about the health of your cloud resources, check for any service anomalies in each Alibaba Cloud region, and subscribe to RSS feeds for service exceptions to handle issues promptly.
In the left-side navigation pane of Alibaba Cloud Status, select the Network & CDN category. In the product list on the right, find NAT Gateway to view its current status and find the RSS subscription entry.
Cloud resource configuration auditing
Cloud Config is a resource auditing service that tracks resource configuration history and performs compliance audits. It helps you govern your infrastructure at scale and maintain continuous compliance.
NAT Gateway is integrated with Cloud Config and is available for a free trial. Because Cloud Config supports only a subset of Alibaba Cloud services, its resource inventory is limited to some of your resources.
Cloud Config's cross-region resource inventory lets you quickly search for target resources and view their configuration information and change history.
You can deliver the configuration change history and non-compliance events of NAT Gateway resources to a specified Logstore in Log Service (SLS). This lets you query and analyze log data centrally in SLS.
