Microservices Engine:Billing overview of Microservices Governance

Microservices Engine (MSE) Microservices Governance uses pay-as-you-go billing based on the number of agents running on your application instances and their running duration. This topic covers billable items, the billing formula with examples, and per-edition pricing.

Billable items

MSE charges for Microservices Governance based on two factors:

FactorDescription
Number of agentsThe number of application processes with Microservices Governance enabled. Each agent governs one application instance. Depending on your environment, an application instance can be a pod, a Tomcat instance, or a Java process.
Running durationThe total time all agents are connected. Bills are generated hourly. Any partial hour is rounded up to a full hour.

Billing method

Microservices Governance uses pay-as-you-go billing only.

Billing formula and example

Formula

Total fee = Number of agents x Unit price x Running duration
  • Number of agents: The number of application processes with Microservices Governance successfully enabled.

  • Running duration: Measured in hours. Usage under 1 hour is rounded up to 1 hour.

Example

You have 10 application instances, each with an agent running Professional Edition for about 8 hours:

Total fee = 10 agents x USD 0.008/agent/hour x 8 hours = USD 0.64

Pricing

Microservices Governance offers two editions: Professional Edition and Enterprise Edition. Select the edition that fits your requirements.
