Billable item
You are charged for MSE Microservices Governance on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Billing method
Pay-as-you-go: You are charged based on the actual usage of billable items. Fees are deducted after resources are consumed. This billing method is suitable for scenarios in which the usage of resources is difficult to predict.
Billing cycle
In the pay-as-you-go billing method, MSE Microservices Governance is billed on an hourly basis. At the beginning of each billing cycle, the bill of the previous cycle is generated, and fees are deducted from your Alibaba Cloud account. If you use MSE Microservices Governance for less than 1 hour in a billing cycle, the usage duration is rounded up to 1 hour. Bills are automatically generated, and the time at which bills are delivered may vary.
Billing formula
Pay-as-you-go: Total fees = Number of agents × Number of hours × Unit price. For example, if you purchase 10 agents, use Microservices Governance Professional Edition, and run each application instance for 8 hours, the total fees are USD 0.64, which is calculated by using the following formula: 10 × 8 × 0.008.
One agent can govern one application instance. Application instances may represent different objects in different environments, such as pods, Tomcat instances, or Java processes.
MSE calculates the fees for Microservices Governance based on the total duration in which all applications are connected. Bills are generated on an hourly basis.
