ApsaraVideo Media Processing:Submit a transcoding job

To run ApsaraVideo Media Processing (MPS) jobs in the order of submission, you can create an MPS queue and assign jobs to it. The following procedure walks you through submitting a transcoding job in the MPS console.

Prerequisites

The video files that you want to transcode are uploaded to an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket. For more information, see Upload videos.

  1. Log on to the MPS console. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  2. Enable the MPS queue.

    In the navigation pane on the left, choose Global Settings > MPS Queue and Callback. Find the desired MPS queue and click Activate in the Actions column. For more information, see Create an MPS queue. To receive notifications about transcoding results, click Set Notifications in the Actions column and enable Notifications.

  3. Optional: Create a transcoding template.

    If the preset templates do not meet your requirements, you can create a custom transcoding template. For more information, see Transcoding templates.

  4. Create a transcoding job.

    In the navigation pane on the left, choose Job Management, click Create Job, and then configure the parameters. For more information, see Create a transcoding job.

    This topic uses a transcoding job as an example. You can follow a similar procedure to create other types of jobs. For more information, see Create an intelligent thumbnail job, Create a video moderation job, and Create a media fingerprinting job.

  5. View the transcoding result.

    In the navigation pane on the left, choose Job Management. On the Transcoding tab, view the transcoding result and details.
