Upgrade to the official edition - ApsaraDB for MongoDB - Alibaba Cloud Documentation Center

If you want to retain audit logs for a longer period of time or use larger storage space for audit logs, you can upgrade the free trial edition to the official edition. This topic describes how to upgrade to the official edition.

Prerequisites

Before the official launch of the audit log feature, the free trial edition was activated for the instance.

Note Starting from January 6, 2022, the official edition of the audit log feature has been launched in all regions, and new applications for the free trial edition have ended. For more information, see [Notice] On official launch of the pay-as-you-go audit log feature and no more application for the free trial edition.

Precautions

After you upgrade the free trial edition to the official edition, you cannot change it back to the free trial edition.
The official edition is charged based on the storage usage and retention period. For more information, see the Pricing tab of the ApsaraDB for MongoDB product page.

Procedure

Go to the Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the instance resides. Then, find the instance and click the ID of the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane of the instance details page, choose Data Security > Audit Logs.
In the upper-right corner of the page, click Official Edition.

- After you upgrade the free trial edition to the official edition, you cannot change it back to the free trial edition.
- The official edition is charged based on the storage usage and retention period. For more information, see the Pricing tab of the ApsaraDB for MongoDB product page.
In the Official Edition message, read the prompt and click OK.
When the status of the instance changes from Enabling Audit Logs to Running, the free trial edition is upgraded to the official edition.
