Remove a tag from an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance when it is no longer needed. If the tag is not applied to any other instance, it is automatically deleted.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:

An Alibaba Cloud account. Resource Access Management (RAM) users do not have permission to manage or use tags.
Limits
| Limit | Details |

| Tags per operation | Up to 20 tags can be removed at a time |
| Instance impact | Removing tags does not affect a running instance |
| Filtering | After all tags are removed from an instance, the instance cannot be filtered by tag |
| Auto-deletion | A tag is automatically deleted when it is removed from every instance it was applied to |
Remove tags from an instance

Log on to the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances based on the instance type.

In the left-side navigation pane, click Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances.

In the upper-left corner, select the resource group and region where your instance is located.

Remove one or more tags using either of the following methods:
Remove multiple tags at once

Select the instance, then click Batch Remove Tags in the lower-left corner.

In the Delete Tags for Multiple Resources dialog box, select the tags to remove, and then proceed to delete the tags.

After the Tag Edited Successfully. message appears, click Close.
Remove a single tag

Find the instance, move the pointer over the
icon in the Tag column, then click Edit. -
In the Configure Tags dialog box, click the
icon next to the tag you want to remove. -
Click OK.
