ApsaraDB for MongoDB:Change the retention period of internal endpoints on the classic network of an instance

Last Updated:Mar 28, 2026

When you enable hybrid access mode for an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance, the classic network internal endpoints are retained for a limited period so that your applications can migrate to VPC connections. During this period, both the classic network endpoints and the VPC endpoints remain accessible. To give yourself more time to complete the migration, you can change the retention period before the endpoints expire.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that the instance is in hybrid access mode. For more information, see Configure a hybrid access solution to switch the network type of an instance from classic network to VPC.

Change the retention period

  1. Go to the Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance resides and the resource group to which the instance belongs. Find the instance and click its ID.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Connections.

  3. In the Retained Classic Network Endpoint section, click Modify Expiration Time.

  4. In the Modify Expiration Time panel, select a retention period.

Note The retention period can be set to 14, 30, 60, or 120 days. To release the classic network, click Release.
  5. Click OK.
