To improve the user experience of ApsaraDB for MongoDB, we adjusted the method used to collect monitoring information about the disk space usage of instances that use enhanced SSDs (ESSDs) on December 11, 2023. The curve in the monitoring chart may fluctuate during the adjustment, but it is only caused by a statistical change that does not affect the running of the instances.
Adjustment date

For more information about metrics related to the disk space of instances, see Monitoring items and metrics. The following metrics are involved in the adjustment:
ins_size: the total size of used disk space.
disk_usage: the percentage of used disk space.
Impacts
The curves of the ins_size and disk_usage metrics in the monitoring chart may fluctuate by 3% to 5% during the adjustment, which may trigger an alerting if an alert threshold is exceeded.
This adjustment is only statistical. It does not affect the running of instances or the available disk space.
Suggestions
If the metrics of your ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance fluctuate due to the adjustment, you can modify the disk alert threshold based on your business requirements. For more information about how to configure an alert rule, see Create an event-triggered alert rule.
