The MongoDB open-source community ended support for version 3.4 on January 31, 2020. Continuing to use this version poses security risks to your services. To enhance product security and user experience, ApsaraDB for MongoDB will stop selling version 3.4 instances on January 1, 2023. If you need a new ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance, you can purchase an instance that runs a later version.

Impacts
You can no longer purchase new ApsaraDB for MongoDB 3.4 instances from the buy page.
You can no longer create new ApsaraDB for MongoDB 3.4 instances by cloning instances or recreating instances from the recycle bin.
Beginning June 30, 2026, you can no longer change billing methods, migrate data across zones, or change configurations for existing ApsaraDB for MongoDB 3.4 instances. For more information, see [Notice] ApsaraDB for MongoDB 3.4 instances scheduled for end of service (EOS) on December 31, 2026.
Alibaba Cloud will no longer provide kernel updates or new features for MongoDB 3.4.
Beginning December 31, 2026, Alibaba Cloud will no longer provide services or technical support for ApsaraDB for MongoDB 3.4.
