Cline is a VS Code extension for intelligent coding. Set up and use Alibaba Cloud Model Studio's Coding Plan with Cline.
In the VSCode IDE extension marketplace, search for and install Cline.
After installation, click the Cline icon in the navigation pane on the left. Click Bring my own API key. In the pop-up window, set OpenAI Compatible as the API provider. Then configure the following parameters.
If you used Cline before, click the Settings button in the upper-right corner to configure it.

Set to OpenAI Compatible
Base URL
Set to https://coding-intl.dashscope.aliyuncs.com/v1
OpenAI Compatible API Key
Enter your Coding Plan-specific API key (sk-sp-xxxxxxx)
Model ID
Enter a model ID from the Coding Plan supported models, such as qwen3.5-plus.
After configuration, click Done in the upper-right corner.
Use Cline. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner to open Settings. Change the model ID to switch models.
