ApsaraMQ for MQTT:Manage instances

In ApsaraMQ for MQTT, an instance is a virtual machine that provides the ApsaraMQ for MQTT service and stores topics and groups. ApsaraMQ for MQTT provides instances based on the subscription billing method. ApsaraMQ for MQTT instances include Enterprise Platinum Edition instances and Standard Edition instances.

Create an instance

  1. Log on to the ApsaraMQ for MQTT console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region. Then, in the upper-left corner, click Create Instance.

  3. In the panel that appears, use the default value Subscription for the Billing Method parameter. Then, Click OK.

  4. On the buy page, select the instance specifications that you want to purchase based on your business requirements, select the terms of service, and then click Buy Now.

  5. On the order payment page, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.

Update an instance

  1. On the Instances page, find the instance that you want to update and click the instance name or Details in the Actions column.

  2. In the Basic Information section of the Instance Details page, click Edit next to Name and Description. Then, enter a new instance name and description in the corresponding fields and click OK.

View instance details

After an instance is created, you can go to the Instance Details page to view the details of the instance, including the basic information about the instance, the statistics of messages that are sent and received on the instance, and the endpoints of the instance.

On the Instances page, find the instance that you want to manage and click the instance name or Details in the Actions column to go to the Instance Details page.

  • View the basic information about the instance

    In the Overview and Basic Information sections of the Instance Details page, you can view the basic information about the instance, such as the instance edition, instance ID, instance status, and billing method.

  • View the statistics of the instance

    On the Instance Details page, click the Statistics tab. Specify a time range to query the statistics of messages that are sent and received on the instance within the specified time range. The statistics include Messaging TPS, Subscriptions, and Connected Clients.

  • Query the endpoints of the instance

    On the Instance Details page, click the Endpoints tab to view the endpoints of the instance. For more information, see Endpoints.

Delete an instance

Warning
  • After an instance is deleted, its data cannot be restored. Exercise caution when you delete an instance.

  • You cannot manually release a subscription instance. You can delete a subscription instance only after it expires.

  • Before you delete an instance, you must clear all topics and groups on the instance.

  1. On the Instances page, find the instance that you want to delete and choose More > Delete in the Actions column.

  2. In the Note message, click OK.
