MaxCompute:Upgrade or downgrade compute resources

Prerequisites

• A MaxCompute subscription with at least one quota

Upgrade CUs

Increase compute capacity by adding CUs to your subscription quota.

1. Log on to the MaxCompute console, and select a region in the upper-left corner.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Manage Configurations > Quotas.

3. On the Quotas page, find the target quota. In the Actions column, click the More icon (...) and select Upgrade.

4. On the Upgrade/Downgrade page, specify the number of CUs for the upgrade, then click Buy Now.

   The upgrade fee is prorated based on the remaining subscription period:

   Upgrade order price = (Monthly price of the new configuration / 30 / 24 × Remaining duration) - (Monthly price of the old configuration / 30 / 24 × Remaining duration)

   Note

   Remaining duration is the time in hours from the upgrade date to the instance expiration date. Periods shorter than one hour are calculated as minutes / 60.

5. On the Purchase page, confirm your order and click Subscribe to complete the upgrade.

6. After the upgrade completes, the additional CUs are automatically added to the Default Quota. To redistribute them, see Manage compute resources and quotas.

7. View the upgrade order on the Alibaba Cloud Orders page.

Downgrade CUs

Reduce compute capacity by removing CUs from your subscription quota.

1. Log on to the MaxCompute console, and select a region in the upper-left corner.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Manage Configurations > Quotas.

3. On the Quotas page, find the target quota. In the Actions column, click the More icon (...) and select Downgrade.

4. On the Downgrade page, specify the number of CUs you need, then click Buy Now.

5. View the downgrade order on the Alibaba Cloud Orders page.
