    ApsaraVideo Live:Add an accelerated domain name

    ApsaraVideo Live accelerates upstream stream ingest and downstream stream delivery. You must add an Ingest Domain and a Streaming Domain. The Ingest Domain connects live streams to the nearest ingest node, and the Streaming Domain accelerates content delivery. This topic describes how to add an accelerated domain name in ApsaraVideo Live.

    Prerequisites

    If you plan to stream live content in the Chinese mainland, you must obtain an ICP filing for your domain name.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console.

    2. In the left navigation pane, click Domain Names. The Domain Management page appears.

    3. Click Add Domain.

    4. Configure the parameters for your domain name.

      Important

      If you add a domain name for the first time, you must verify your ownership.

      Domain Type

      • Streaming Domain

      • Ingest Domain

      The type of the domain name. It cannot be modified once set.

      Domain Name

      Enter the domain name that you want to accelerate. Note the following:

      • We recommend using a subdomain. Example: demo.aliyundoc.com. The subdomain must belong to the same account. Otherwise, the system returns an error when verifying the ownership.

      • ApsaraVideo Live does not support wildcard domain names, such as *.aliyundoc.com.

      • Duplicate domain names are not allowed. If an error message prompts you that the domain already exists, check whether it is added to other cloud services, such as ApsaraVideo VOD.

      • ApsaraVideo Live supports up to 20 domain names. If the total average daily peak bandwidth of your domains exceeds 50 Mbit/s, you can submit a ticket to increase the quota. Make sure that the quota increase does not incur business risks.

      • Content served from the domain must meet the compliance requirements of ApsaraVideo Live.

      Acceleration Region

      • Chinese Mainland

      • Global

      • Outside Chinese Mainland

      For the ingest domain, select the acceleration region based on the host's location. For the streaming domain, select based on your audience's location.

      In the following cases, ICP filing is required:

      • Acceleration Region is set to Chinese Mainland or Global.

      • Acceleration Region is set to Outside Chinese Mainland, but the selected live center is in Chinese Mainland.

      Live Center

      N/A

      A live center provides media processing services in the cloud, such as snapshot capture, recording, and transcoding.

      The live center of an ingest domain and its associated streaming domain must be the same. This parameter cannot be modified once it is set.

    5. Click Next.

    What to do next
