Monitor and alert on concurrent ingest streams

CloudMonitor monitors Alibaba Cloud resources and internet applications. It automatically discovers the resources in your Alibaba Cloud account. You can view the running status and metrics of specific resources and configure alert rules. When a rule is triggered, CloudMonitor sends an alert notification. For more information, see What is CloudMonitor?.

Configure alerts for the ingest quota

1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console.

2. To check for ingest limit alarms, click Domain Names, select the ingest domain to configure, and navigate to Domain Settings > Basic Settings > Stream Ingest Information to view the ingest limit. Note the ingest concurrency limit.

   You can find the ingest limit for the domain (for example, 20) in the third tip of the on-page help.

3. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

   In the left-side navigation pane, choose Cloud Service Monitoring > Media Services > ApsaraVideo Live.

4. Create an alert rule. On the ApsaraVideo Live page, click Create Alert Rule.

   In the Create Alert Rule panel, configure the following parameters. Set the remaining parameters based on your business requirements:

   • From the product list, select ApsaraVideo Live.

   • For Resource Scope, select Instance.

   • In the Rule Description section, click Add Rule.

     On the Add Rule Description page, set Metric to InternetInConcurrentNumber and configure the other parameters as needed. Click OK to add the rule description.

5. Click OK to create the alert rule.

   Note

   Basic CloudMonitor features, including monitoring for hosts and cloud services, application groups, availability monitoring, and Dashboards, are free of charge.

After you complete these steps, you receive notifications when your concurrent ingest streams exceed the ingest quota.
