:Pay-as-you-go

Last Updated:Aug 07, 2023

LinkVisual supports the pay-as-you-go billing method. If the actual bandwidth usage exceeds the available bandwidth in the specifications of a subscription IoT instance, throttling is not implemented on the instance. You are billed for the excess traffic on a daily basis. This ensures service availability and continuity. This topic describes how to activate LinkVisual and the pay-as-you-go billing rules.

Important

This topic is provided only for reference. The actual fees of LinkVisual are displayed on your bills.

Billing rules

The public bandwidth usage of videos consists of the bandwidth usage of upstream video streams and the bandwidth usage of downstream video streams. If the public bandwidth usage of videos exceeds the available bandwidth in the specifications of a subscription IoT instance, you are billed for the excess traffic on a daily basis. The following table describes the billing rules.

Note

After you enable the pay-as-you-go billing method of LinkVisual for a subscription IoT Platform instance, the following condition must be met: Total bandwidth usage of upstream and downstream video streams of the instance in a day ≤ Available bandwidth in the specifications of the instance × 5.

Fee settlement

  • After you enable the pay-as-you-go billing method of LinkVisual for an IoT Platform instance, the system calculates the total bandwidth usage of upstream and downstream video streams and deducts fees every day.

  • The total bandwidth usage is rounded up to an integer in megabytes (MB).

Upgrade and renew an IoT Platform instance

On the Overview page in the IoT Platform console, find the IoT Platform instance that you want to manage and click Upgrade or Renew.

If an IoT Platform instance is expired, you cannot use the services that are provided by the instance. The products and devices of the instance are deleted 15 days after the instance expires and cannot be restored. You must renew an IoT Platform instance before the instance expires, or upgrade the instance before the video storage space becomes insufficient.
